I guess you might wonder why I’m writing this blog and what qualifies me to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard!)

I grew up in an entrepenurial family and started my career by qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Never wanted to practise but thought it would be the best business training I could get.

Over the last 25 years I’ve built and sold three different businesses - a multiple retail chain, a national business publisher and an internet marketing consultancy. One common thread for the last 15 years has been my love of communicating business ideas and helping people be more successful. I’ve written numerous training programmes, delivered face to face courses, given keynote speeches and shared my knowledge with many others. Perhaps my strongest ability is to take complex ideas, distill them to simple concepts and then share them in a way that most people understand.

But underlying all this activity has been my involvement in property. I ran a property development company in London with my brother for many years. My first property investment was in 1982, some 24 years ago. Now much of my time is taken up with property investment activity.
